Overview

MWHY ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use mwhyai.com and the MWHY app.

Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address and name when you sign up.
App Data: Your goals, time blocks, reflections, journal entries, and other content you create within the app. Most of this data is stored locally on your device.
Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage data via Google Analytics to improve the app experience.
Connected Device & Health Data: If you connect a third-party fitness or wellness device (such as WHOOP) to your MWHY account, we collect the health and biometric data described in the WHOOP & Connected Health Devices section below.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the MWHY app experience
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To send important service updates
To display your connected health and recovery data inside your personal MWHY dashboard, and to power coaching features that reference that data

Data Storage

Most of your personal app data (goals, reflections, time blocks) is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. We do not have access to this data unless you explicitly share it. Data from connected devices (see below) is stored on our server so it can be displayed in your dashboard between sessions.

WHOOP & Connected Health Devices

MWHY offers an optional integration with WHOOP so you can view your recovery, sleep, strain, and workout data alongside your goals and reflections inside the app. This integration is entirely optional and only activates if you explicitly connect your WHOOP account.

What we collect from WHOOP

If you connect your WHOOP account, we may collect and store the following data from WHOOP's API on your behalf:

Profile basics (name, email, WHOOP user ID)
Recovery scores, heart rate variability (HRV), and resting heart rate
Sleep performance, sleep efficiency, and sleep duration
Daily strain and calories
Workouts (sport type, strain, duration, kilojoules)
Body measurements where available
OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to maintain the connection

How we use WHOOP data

To display your recovery, sleep, strain, and workout history inside your MWHY dashboard
To inform AI coaching features when you choose to use them (for example, suggesting lighter goals on low-recovery days)
To improve and debug the MWHY product

How we store WHOOP data

WHOOP data is stored in a private SQLite database on our server, accessible only to you (via your authenticated session) and to a limited set of MWHY administrators for support and debugging purposes. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your WHOOP data to third parties for marketing or advertising. We do not use your WHOOP data to train third-party AI models.

Your control over WHOOP data

You can disconnect WHOOP at any time from your MWHY settings page. When you disconnect, we revoke our access tokens and delete the stored WHOOP data associated with your MWHY account. You can also revoke MWHY's access directly from your WHOOP account settings at any time. To request a full export or deletion of your data, email info@mwhyai.com.

Third-Party Services

Stripe — Payment processing
OpenAI — AI coaching features (your prompts are sent to OpenAI's API)
Google Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics
WHOOP — Optional health, sleep, recovery, and workout data integration (see above)

Data Security

We use HTTPS for all data in transit, encrypted OAuth tokens for connected device access, and standard server hardening practices. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw consent for any optional integration (such as WHOOP) at any time. Email info@mwhyai.com with any request.

Children

MWHY is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
